Has music influenced you and your medium of choice

I was wondering, if music has been a positive or negative factor in the creation of art, story, or other medium that you express yourself in? if you could say if has or hasn't been expressive, or ways that is shaped something, i would appreciate it.

Music has definitely influenced me, but I'll have to come up with some specific examples later.^^

Music has strongly influenced me, most notably my stories and sometimes the tone of my work, but I don't think it has ever influenced the medium I expressed my work in. (If music could help me make that decision for "Peregrination", that would be fantastic, but it can't, so that story's stuck on the sidelines until I can decide whether I want that to be a comic or an animation. >.<).

I think the most notable and drastic influence of music on me was when music prompted the creation of one of my plots (now my NaNoWriMo novel). A couple summers ago, my cousin gave me two CD's, Dido's "No Angel" and Evanescence's "Fallen". I listened to them in that order on a 1 1/2 hour car trip, and, prompted by the music, created an entire story in that span of time. I don't remember a lot about the early stages of its development, since I was almost in a meditative state, but I do recall that it began as a Kingdom Hearts fanfic and then evolved into a stand-alone novel.

But as for medium...No, I don't think so. O.o

Poetry is my medium, and more than a few of my works from DeviantArt are from music done by family, or music that reached out and hit home with a sledgehammer's force, on my page, lets see, Not long till this end? , Introspection, Goodbye and Riddance, Faces In the Sand, A warriors path and Litany, The moment of Truth, The morning Ocean, The Number: Jouney: and Key. All of these are music inspired.

I use music to get a handle on feelings I want to associate with certain characters or scenes, and I play those songs when drawing them. I think this helps with the actual capturing of the mood, as well as motivation.^^

I use music for mood and for "seeds" on ideas. It doesn't matter how appropriate the music is, as long as the mood is right for what emotion I am trying to get on the page. On those days when it is really working, when the words are flowing and my fingers won't get tired of typing, the music just fades and becomes the words, in a way. It is part of the background, but influencing everything.

although i find humor in listening to certain songs while playing on line games i find it great to roll into a battle on star craft with hells bells playing from AC/DC. XD

or playing human target for some friends in an FPS while don't fear the reaper is playing from blue oyster cult.

i guess this isn't very relevant because I'm not a real artist or anything. i opted out of Art 4 senior year because it didn't fit with my schedule :/

Music that i listen to daily hasn't influenced how i act or [generally] what i wear, but since i listen to morbidly depressing things all the time, every story i write has something die in it.
I like getting detailed about deaths, too

Music influences me in everything. I almost always have to have music on when working. Of course, being a musician might have something to do with that.

What I like really depends on what mood I'm in. I have such an eclectic taste.
