Okay, Wren knows martial arts. WTF, where did he learn them? Who taught him? Why did they teach him? I'm not too surprised. Ms. Sniper has been dropping hints for quite a while. The main one that comes to mind was a filler she posted showing Wren vaulting over something in a very martial-artistic pose. I'll bet he was taught via programmed stem cells. BWA-HA-HA-HA-HA...... *Sigh* I know. I guess prejudice is a recessive gene which keeps rearing it's ugly head. Ironically, it is the catalyst for really great literature and a certain graphic novel we all love. I also love furry comix and graphic novels. But very few explain how a number of distinct species manage to get along and share a civilization.

Wren is really dexterous, and looks pretty fast too.

Redcrow, I don't remember that filler art at all! XD I'ma have to look around for it... hmmm.... It was from a long long time ago. All I can remember is that it looked like Wren was vaulting over something---he was horizontal and in motion. I don't think the image was colored. It could have been one of your early voting incentives.

I hope that wound doesn't cause too many problems for Wren.

No, that's only supposed to be a scratch. I may have gone a little crazy with the blood there.

Now this is where I wish there was an aerial shot of this scene. For a second I though Wren was vaulting right out of the city again, so I was going "Damn--back to the drawing board".
With this update I shall not be posting on the Speculation thread. I've no idea how Wren can possibly escape, considering that this city has security and survelliance in advance of our own.
Of course some aspects of technology could have degraded after the aliens left.
I dunno.

Ahhhh!
Ms. Sniper, you have again outdone yourself in this update.
If the Ursa Majors had catagories for Best Costume Design and Cutest Manga Child Characters we'd nominated you at once!
Seriously, have you ever thought of designing clothes? The items worn by the characters in this update appear to fall in the casual catagory.
In real life, I don't think affordable casual clothing has changed in 30 years.

Very true. I think designers are afraid that everyone will say they're trying to be "futuristic" if they do something new. The big runway shows have interesting stuff though, just nothing intended for real people to wear. >_>

Yeah, it's true. There was a lot of experimenting in mainstream fashion in the 1970's, but now that's treated as a joke on at least one visual-humor website.
Then the Religious Right got elected for the next 30 years and...well you know.
Maybe things will loosen up a bit with the sea change that is happening now.
