everyone who watches the discovery channel know that even a mutated animal will rarely diverge from its original diet, and a kangaroos diet consist of nothing more than bugs and veggies. However I see where your coming from giant mutated flesh eating dingos does seem a little cliche. What If Wren were to face down some new species of ravenous carnivore that would be so awesome-saucelichous, yes I'm aware that converged the term awesome sauce and delicious it's not illegal a tad unconventional but not illegal.

Well, animals must change their diets occasionally. Apparently a couple million years ago there actually used to be gigantic, carnivorous kangaroos. If the can evolve one way, I see no reason they can't evolve the other way. Hell, look at dolphins. They evolved to walk on land, then re-evolved to go back to the water. That's way more involved than just a diet change, methinks.
Besides, there was alien tampering of humans...
Still, I do realize that the odds of Snipes actually USING mutant carnivorous kangaroos is a bit far-fetched. =P I can still dream!

She was being funny, Dragchamp, calm thyself. As for what is out in the deadlands, I said it once already so I'll say it again; not much out there besides ferns and roaches, as well as some nasty stuff called murk that you'll find out about soon.^^

Yeah, I guess you're right. That lends support to the "Murk is Poisonous" theory...Though maybe it only actually kills you in high doses. Maybe it has other effects in lower doses. Like being a halucinagen! *bricked*

actually they did research regarding a similar situation a few years ago. Drugs like ricin will kill you in moderate to high doses, however in low doses they can be used to calm overactive muscles.

Or like botulinin toxin, which is pretty nasty in most doses, but when used in very small ammounts turns into the highly profitable Botox.

making millions on rich peoples vanity, ain't it great getting alittle off topic here though. I'm not sure our young hero has much chance to escape though, that place looked pretty flat and barren, not many places to hide if you need to...

I'm more worried about him finding shade for those really hot moments in the day. Only a very crazy bounty hunter would even consider following him into a barren wasteland. And even then they'd stop entertaining the thought and go take care of something else.

I suppose you're right. It's like that old Kingston Trio song "Everglades", about a man who kills another and flees into the swamp:
The posse went in and they came back out They said "He'll die, and there ain't no doubt It's an eye for an eye, so the debt is paid, He won't last long in the Everglade."
Then later in the song you find out not only did he live, but, "His runnin' and hidin' didn't make much sense, for the jury had ruled it was self-defense." XD
Anyway, now that he's out of water, I say that he should start travelling at night. Unless there are nasties that come out at night...Which, knowing Snipes, there very well could be.

i think it would be entertaining to find out that given his unique genetic composition he is a immune to the dangers of the barrens waters. However do so would make him very tired or hallucinate, then we could see Winter again, I love looking at that guy. ;D ;D ;D ;D

True, I wonder what, this if they do, genetic mutations his friends have. I think it would be cool if Wren and his friends were all genetic mutations, It would partial explain their loyalty for each other.
