I got up to about 10250. I had a few hand-written pages I wrote Sunday afternoon, so it may be 10500, but I still haven't gotten them typed in. This is such a busy time of the year for me.
I tend to work in "episodes", then connect them together. I think I kind of cheat at NaNo, though. I'm using it to work on one of my already started stories. I'm still only counting what I actually write during the month, though. I need to "stitch together" what I wrote this summer with this month's and see what I come up with. But first, I desperately need to find my missing jump drive. My main hard drive is dying, and my secondary's pretty full. I feel like I'm on the verge of catastrophe.

Hey, that's 10K more than when you started! Missing jump drive? Oh noes! Seriously though, if I lost my jump drive, I'd be totally hosed. All my stuff for my VC classes are on it. This year's novel is fanfiction for Yamaha and Crypton's Hatsune Miku singing synthesis software, so I'm going to be posting that online somewhere once it's presentable. As for my 2006 novel, I'd like to actually get that published if I can, though that's a LONG ways off. XD

I could never do that stuff. I can only write short stories. My English isn't good enough.

Just so you know, pretty much all first drafts suck, especially NaNoWriMo ones. XD Seriously. This thread on NaNo is proof: www.nanowrimo.org/eng/node/3133077 Entertaining, but proof nonetheless. It's like Andrew Stanton said on that Pixar documentary on the Wall•E DVD: it's in the rewrite. *nods* But on the other hand, you can't rewrite if you haven't written something first, which is what NaNo is for.

Well, my final count for the month was 10531. I suspect quite a bit of it will be thinned out in some future rewrite. I'm planning on several books, and I've got a long way to go before I wanted to end this one.
What really fries my goats is that this particular jump drive was clipped to a very nice leather laptop bag. Grrrr. However, better to lose this one than the one that has all my music writing scores on it.
