The reason why added that bit about half dragons is because the way the story is set up all the common races in the story just recently discovered magic, but dragons have most likely been practicing it for eons and dragons sometimes like to breed with the common races, usually humans. Draconic blood is naturally magical so you can give all these different abilities, but all half dragons have the ability to spit breath whatever it was their draconic parent did, in addition to being stronger than several humanoids at the peak of physical excellence working together and possessing natural leadership abilities. Half dragons are usually the result of their dragon parent's plan, however some are the born out of love between the dragon and the dragon parent. Plus it would be cool to see half dragons on the campus you can make them however you want.

Hmm, that seems to be borrowing rather too heavily from the D&D books for my taste. Don't forget the mythological dragons that have pathological obsessions with treasure, not to mention the ones that are just dumb animals... there are a lot of different ways to incorporate dragons into a fantasy world, and I'm sure whatever snipes has in mind for her dragons will be interesting, entertaining, and full of 'wacky teenage hijinks'

Hey I play a lot of Dungeons and Dragons! Anyway in eastern mythology dragons only had one treasure that they always carried with them, and that was a giant pearl, these dragons acted as guardians and sometimes were considered gods. There's even a myth in Japan about how the first emperor was the son of a dragon.

If there are half-breeds of multiple dragon types, then there could be some interesting wacky teenage hijinks taken from that. In fact, it could be an interesting allegory for racial tensions. *bricked* WhileI can see some dragon varieties getting along, I'm sure some others have just plain bad relations, and then you stick individuals of the different types all in one place, stuff's bound to happen.

The problem there is no matter who you ask dragons a pretty much the most long lived beings out there, which may result in half dragons also being so. For all we know what a half dragon calls their teen years could be what we call pushing our 60's or 70's. Compared to the other races that is a ridiculously long life, even elves.

Personally I think that Kit Konrad's mom was pirate sorceress, it would explain why kit has magical abilities. Or if you want we could go the her mother had a good friend who could do magic and since he was performing a very special arcane blessing on an unborn child there was no way to know what the results would come out as.

Speaking of Kit's mom, what do you suppose made want to have a kid? And on top of that what happened 2 her mom? If she's still alive where is she? Sorry for the gang of questions Snipe.

Alright. I've been pondering for months, I'm going to throw something out there. The brown dog(wolf?) with Kit and Jessie... I'm going to go out on a limb and assume not even Kit can see it?

Or maybe she can, and just doesn't let anyone else know about it. Like a Aboriginal American's spirit guide, you know an animal spirit that guides you and keeps you safe. From what I've heard only thoughs of us who have a truly deep spiritual relationship with the individual or are intensely spiritual ourselves can see the spirit guide, but only when they themselves deem us worthy of the honor. But that's just me, at any rate only Snipe knows the truth behind that a little thing. And we all know Snipe isn't giving out any spoilers, at all.

Well, Champ, I've been thinking about this. Kit sure doesn't seem like she's aware of it. In addition, it's only in that first bit. It never appears in the house or on the crab. I must ponder this more.

*chuckles* Well, there is actually going to be a spirit dog in Magic High. That one wasn't it though. Sorry, that was just me being inconsistent as an artist.>_<
