HI HO! I'm new here. Been reading Doomnstuff's comics for a while and I recently decided to join the online community. I found White Noise when I was just looking around the net for fantasy/science fiction comics and I love it; the story's just really intriguing and I will stick around here permanently . I really don't have any friends who read other-than-comedy web comics, so I haven't referred the comic to anyone (I'm sorry!!!!!) but I'll show it to some of them soon, who knows? General things about me: I'm a 17 year-old boy living in Ontario, Canada. I'm a mark-whore(I once cried because I got an A++ instead of an A+++ in grade 8, but I'm getting better). I enjoy computer games, board games, webcomics and Anime and I'm obsessed with fantasy/science fiction. I do weight training, X-country running and skiing, as well as recreational volleyball(I'm really only serious about weight training). I like classical music and play hardcore violin. I'm really really interested in world and environmental issues; I plan on becoming a lawyer/politician or environmental engineer. Haven't decided yet. In effect, I'm a filthy halfbreed between nerd, athlete and musician. So yeah. glad to be here.

Hey there, Clovers! (Do you mind if I abrievate your name that way?) It's good to see a new person on here; we need as many as we can get to hoist Snipes out of her procrastinating stupor. *Runs away before MadSniper can send her posse of villains to kill her*

How long have you been playing? *resists urge to squeal about Wren being a violinist too* Of all the instruments out there, that's the one I wish my parents had chained me to when I was little.

I love the violin!!! It's one of the many I just couldn't keep my hands off! Unfortunately, all I have is a rather low-end student violin. The cost of repairs is going to exceed the value of the instrument. Boo.

Alright, both of you, I have a question: What does rosin do? Is it something you put on the strings before you play everytime? Or is it just for occasional upkeep?

I don't understand exactly what it does. I know it helps the bow hair grip better as you "saw away" on it. (My friend teases me, but he plays the same way on his cello). You just can't get a decent sound without it.
Generally, I rosin up every time I play. If I'm going for a while, I usually need to take a break and apply more. How long a "dose" lasts depends on how much you put on. When you put too much on, the bow doesn't slide smoothly over the strings.
