It's almost funny how far comic books have come. When started out they were just left over newspaper comics thrown together in a book. Then came the story that started out as comics. Now we have tv shows and movies based on comic books. The only logical step from this is movies and animated series based on popular and viturally unknown webcomics. Personal I'd like to see some of my faveorite webcomics end up as animated features! Comics like White Noise, Alien Dice and Picatrix to name a few.

It would be a dream come true for WN to become an animated series, but I don't know how possible it is, since the story would suffer quite a bit being softened up for a young audience (you'll see what I mean), and adult cartoons in America don't get the financial backing it takes to make something as beautiful as Avatar, or most animes for that matter. Venture Brothers is a fantastic show, but I would want prettier animation.^^'

Your right there Snipe. White Noise and Alien Dice would probably be nice as Animated Movies, because I think a lot would be lost if they tried to make a live action adaptation. Animated movie have a lot more room to breath than animated series. While that may be true if want a continuation in that format you need to spend a lot more time, money and effort than it would with an animated series. Of course Knowing you Snipe the truer to the story the bigger your grin will be when it all comes out, especially if you personally over see the translation to the screen.

It would be really great to see White Noise as an animated series, but yeah, even now softening it would hurt. I wish adult cartoons would get decent financial backing; I'm sick of this "cartoons are for kids!" prejudice.

It's the western mind set poofie. You see in Japan they get away with some pretty hardcore stuff and kids can still watch, which I think is wise. Why dull something for a kid, its true form will just blindside them later that way.

No kidding. I just wish there was something we could do to change that thought process.

I think that's already in place, it's called Eastern Influence. By the time you have kids the kids that grew up on this stuff will be an integral part of the animation industry.
