XD Congustified. I love it!
And yes, I too have been going through tail withdrawl. *Strokes the tail*
Wren and Winter seem friendlier with eachother here than they have before. It's like Wren's learning about his past brought him closer to Winter or something. (Presuming that horribly mangled sentence made ANY sense. ^^; )

It may just be the angle, but between the two dream sequences it appears at though Wren's tail is missing in his own mind. If this isn't just a trick of the artwork, then it poses a curious conundrum.

You are indeed right, timetogo, Wren does not have the tail in his dream.^^

Yeah, I noticed that too. I had to ask Snipes-sama for confirmation about it, too, because of my Wren + Winter fanart. So, yeah, for some reason his brain deletes his tail in his dream sequences. I wonder why, though? (I should maybe migrate to speculation for this, but maybe it's showing that he's in denial of the fact that he's been genetically engineered? Or, more likely, I'm reading WAY too far into things. XD )

Perhaps. Then again, perhaps not.^^ *steeples fingers evilly*

Woo-Hoo! Those new 8 pages were awesome! Highlights: - 8 new pages all at once!
- The narrative and the action pleasingly unpredictable(I had not forgetton Wren-in-the-bathroom until the flashback sequence!)
- The girl's butterfly pattern dress on the Ch. 4 cover.
- Wren as little kid.
- Wren snapping out of his intense reverie in the bathroom(Har! Still in his pj bottoms!)

Hi Redcrow!
Wren as little kid? Do you mean the little girl on page two? Cuz she's just supposed to be a random kid caught in the alien attack.>_<

Oh, she was random? Since you zoomed in on her so much, I thought she was more important. ^^; I at first figured it was Lohaun, but then the math didn't come out right, so...yeah.

Yeah, that zoom made her look deceptively important. I was going for a sort of "lookit the innocent people who are dying" effect, but meh...

Hi Redcrow! Wren as little kid? Do you mean the little girl on page two? Cuz she's just supposed to be a random kid caught in the alien attack.>_< Ack! Think I had an attack of fantardism last night! I meant Wren as he appeared starting on Page 4, which turns out to be another dream/reverie involving Winter. He seems younger looking in that. Yeah, his tail is missing in the dream/reverie again. Which I think is a cool device since he was missing it in the first dream. So when Wren displays the tail for Irshen, we are all totally . Now for something somewhat different: I'm intrigued now with the idea of quadroped sentient aliens such as Winter. Another sci-fi manga has them. This causes me to speculate whether such a species exists either in this universe or an alternate one.... hmm...deep thoughts

What manga has quadroped aliens? Ever since the Dark Crystal, I've been enamored with the idea of intelligent beings walking on all fours.^^ Ah, yeah, he does look a little younger on page four. My inconsistency with character design is one of my main problems.>_< And the main reason I didn't try to become an animator. Heehee.^^ Yeah, after that scene with Irshen, I was surprised nobody said "Continuity error! He had no tail in his dream!" You guys figured out it was a plot device immediately! ;D

Currently these beings are not "on stage", but here's the bio on one of them: www.hekshano.com/sartrebio.phpI know what you mean about character design. I tried sketching a head-and-shoulders shot of a small child, but everyone who I showed thought it looked like an early teen. "Aging" characters is gonna be a challenge. PS: Ms Sniper, if you check out the links page of Hekshano you may be pleasantly surprised.

I know the pain too! I have a plotbunny right now (that I mentioned earlier in another thread, my NaNoWriMo project), and, even though it's currently a novel, I'm making character designs because I'm not yet sure what I'm going to do with it when I'm done. And I just like to draw them. XD Anyway, my female lead gelled immediately, but my male lead has changed basic design 6, maybe 7 times and is STILL not right. Then one of my supporting characters is supposed to be in his mid-30s, but every time I draw him he looks more like early 20's. >.<
