Hm, yes--though most of the time I feel more like our dogs own US. XD But I do understand what you're driving at. (Just so you know, my dogs are spoiled little brats. =P ) I know! I wanna see his kick-assitude damnit! And now would be a good idea to at least allude to it, ya know. Oh, MAN. That term keeps getting better and better.

Yeah, on the one hand, I'm pretty sure Wren's going to wow us with his amazing 'fighting fluffy tail' style... but I'm also pretty sure that if he tries to go in and get Lohaun there are going to be some really really bad consequences. I'm almost totally certain at this point that Lohaun is doomed (Snipes, please feel free to prove me wrong!), but what that means for Wren has me more than a little nervous.
I think that nervousness is based a lot on the fact that I don't WANT to know what the Herald has planned for our favorite bushy-tailed redhead.

I get the feeling that Wren's fighting ability is a mixed bag. On the one hand, he's a highly coveted genetic experiment with a freakin' tail, so he's got to have something awesome going on there. On the other hand, though, he's forgotten what? 14 or 15 years of his life? That leads me to believe that whatever practice at martial arts he may have gotten as a child has been utterly wiped, and now he's pretty much reduced to a n00b. So...I'm guessing that he'll whip out some awesome improv moves but do some incredibly stupid shit as well. What I'm curious about is whether his awesomeness will outweigh his inexperience...
I'm not sure sure now that Lohaun's going to bite it--Snipes mentioned that Lo was supporting main, so odds are she's going to survive. As to what condition she survives in, though, is yet to be seen. (My guess is that condition=not good to outright bad.)
CRAP, EDIT OF DOOM!
I'm sorry, Snipes said it was Hebe and Lawler that are supporting main! Wow, maybe Lo really WILL bite it...

After the Phone Smash...
Wren has some biological homing ability that are part of his special genetic engineering...he will locate Lohaun in 2 1/2 minutes...Lawler and Dain will stagger into the warehouse making themselves available for further punishment. They'll be out of action for a few weeks with broken bones. Wren & Lohaun ride out of town hidden under a canvass tarp.
Hebe will sigh and call the gargoyle again.
"We've lost them again."
"Hebe, Hebe, Hebe! Your Adult Toy Store priviledges are suspended until further notice. Really child; you're slipping badly. We may have to schedule you to re-audit the Dale Carnagie seminar..."
"NO! NO! Not that! I'll catch them. I will! You'll see!!

The first paragraph I'm fairly serious about, so I'm good with it being in Speculation.
The rest I couldn't resist: in an earlier posting I made, Hebe is talking to the gargoyle and the dialog is in a similar vein. This takes place earlier in the chase.

Snipes, I've heard people talking about the old character page, and now I'm curious. Would it be too much trouble for you to post it somewhere for us newcomers to check out?

*scratches head* mmmmeh.... I'd really rather not...>_< I made that thing in a hurry, and the character designs are bad and the pages are filled with useless info, some of which was thought up on the spot and that I've changed my mind about. Tell ya what, when I finish the new character page, I'll put a link here for you to visit the old one too.^^

Okay, here's two genuine, serious, on the level, sincere speculations:
Wren's tail is not really useful in any way. It is a superfluous manifestation of the alien gene-splice. GECOW simply dithered about removing it, concentrating on other matters. The raid on the colony came before the tail would have been a problem for Wren.
Winter is a real person. I think he could actually be in some deep, underground location in regular communication with GECOW facilities. The other possibility is he's on a starship or outpost located on the far side of the Sun, which is in tandem orbit with Earth so that it cannot be detected from the latter.
